Summer and Spring Camp registration at CCK is open
SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Most kids go to camp every summer, but kids with disabilities don’t always have the same opportunities.
Every year, the Center for Courageous Kids makes it happen for kids with different abilities and illnesses to experience camp, whether they get to fish, have a campfire or simply make friends.
The spring and summer camp is tailored to meet the needs of kids and their parents, to ensure everyone is positively impacted.
Jen De Ridder, the senior director of camping services, says, “The camp staff and volunteers will take all the kids to do some fun things. And it gives parents some time just to spend time with each other and their friends, and just kind of have that respite and time to rest and reconnect. So that it’s just a really comfortable, safe, fun experience for kids to meet their best friend. Gain independence and confidence in a really safe, fun environment.“
The camp schedule is available, and spots are filling up fast. For more information and the schedule, visit their website.
