Edmonton man charged after allegedly shooting vehicle

KNOB LICK, Ky. – An Edmonton man is behind bars after allegedly firing a gunshot that struck a vehicle on Thursday.
According to a uniform citation, the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office was contacted Thursday regarding an incident off of Sulphur Well Center Road in Metcalfe County.
Deputies say the victim reported 34-year-old Cory Jessie of Edmonton had approached him “very aggressively while armed with a metal pipe.”
The victim further stated Jessie began “menacing” the victim and the victim’s juvenile child.
Authorities say the victim stated Jessie then armed himself with a gun and fired several rounds in the “vicinity of both victims,” with at least one round striking the victim’s vehicle.
A gun matching the given description was recovered from the scene, authorities say.
Jessie was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment – discharge of firearm.
He remains at the Barren County Detention Center.
