Toyota Boshoku America hosts grand opening in Christian County

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – Toyota Boshoku America, joined by Governor Andy Beshear, hosted a grand opening for its new facility on Tuesday.

The new state-of-the-art $225 million “smart plant” is located in Christian County.

It is TBA’s first smart plant.

According to a release, the plant will create 157 full-time jobs in the county.

TBA says the plant will implement technologies to create an environmentally responsible operation.

The plant began production of seat tracks, seat recliners and motors with gears in November.

The project was announced in 2023.
