25 dogs rescued from “deplorable conditions” in Todd County, says shelter

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – 25 dogs were rescued in Todd County after being found living in “deplorable conditions.”

According to a WEKT Radio report, the dogs were found abandoned inside a home on Front Street in Guthrie on Tuesday.

Todd County emergency personnel told WEKT that the dogs were not taken care of for a long time.

The dogs were in crates, and feces was found all over the scene.

Some of the crates held six dogs.

The Christian County Animal Shelter states that Todd County Animal Control officers rescued the dogs and transported them to its facility.

The rescued dogs are Corso mixes. They are currently placed on a five-day hold.

According to a social media post, the dogs have been processed into the shelter, and photos of each will be posted once they are evaluated.

This is a developing story.
