13-year-old remains missing from Rockcastle County over a month later

ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. – Over four weeks later, a search continues for a missing Kentucky teen.

Thirteen-year-old Wynter Wagoner was last seen in the Orlando area of Rockcastle County on Oct. 14 around 6:15 p.m., according to the Rockcastle County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say Wagoner is described as 5 feet 1 inch tall and 147 pounds with long, brown hair, blue eyes and piercings in her ears and right nostril.

Since then, the Rockcastle County Sheriff’s Office released the following statement on Nov. 14:

“The Rockcastle County Sheriff’s Office continues to work in cooperation with the Kentucky State Police, FBI London KY Field Office, the United States Marshals and several other local and state law enforcement agencies in our attempts to locate Wynter Wagner. Investigators have conducted numerous interviews, reviewed surveillance camera recordings and will continue to follow up on all tips/information received. These efforts are being conducted on a national level. Multiple land and drone searches have been conducted with the help of Rockcastle County Emergency Management, local volunteer fire departments, local and state law enforcement and civilians. These searches have been conducted in the area where Wynter was first reported missing, along with other areas of reported sightings. We continue to communicate daily with the Kentucky State Police, U.S. Marshals and Federal Bureau of Investigation, along with other agencies, to share information and coordinate efforts to find Wynter. We cannot disclose specific locations, techniques and technologies being used by the federal agencies that are assisting in this investigation. We will not share any information that could compromise the investigation or our goal of bringing Wynter home. Additionally, for reasons of safety and compliance with the laws regarding juveniles, we cannot share case information over the phone with persons who are not verified as Wynter’s immediate family.”
