DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. – Two elementary school students have been found to be in possession of a “kill list,” according to a Kentucky school district.

Dawson Springs Independent School District released a statement after it says it learned Monday morning that two elementary school-aged girls were in possession of an alleged “kill list” in class.

The district states the teacher of the class “immediately confiscated the list, and the girls were immediately removed from class and are being dealt with on multiple levels.”

At this time, the district states there appears to be no immediate threat.

The district further stated, “We will continue to investigate the situation thoroughly and will take appropriate action. We will also be contacting parents of anyone directly related to any threat. Due to students/minors being involved, we will be very limited on additional information that can be shared. Thank you for your time and consideration as we work to keep our children and our schools safe.”
