PADUCAH, Ky. – Big news is taking off for Kentucky travelers.

According to a social media post by Barkley Regional Airport in Paducah, SkyWest Airlines, operating as United Express, is now open for booking.

The airport states that beginning Feb. 24, travelers will be able to fly from Paducah to Chicago O’Hare and Houston Intercontinental.

This will provide a connection from western Kentucky to more than 270 destinations worldwide, according Barkley Regional.

Previously, many Kentuckians would fly to these destinations from Nashville International Airport or Louisville International Airport. Now, those who reside or happen to find themselves in Paducah will have a more convenient starting point to take off to their next destination.
