Second annual Downtown Duck Drop returning to downtown Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Thanksgiving week event returns for its second year this November.

City of Bowling Green downtown development coordinator, Telia Butler, says the Downtown Duck Drop, a WKRP in Cincinnati-inspired event, will be held on Monday, Nov. 24, at noon at The Fringe at 360 E. Eighth St.

Individuals can purchase ducks for a chance to win.

The event will feature 300 mini rubber docks dropped from a bucket truck. The duck that lands closest to a tiny target on the pavement wins $100 from Houchens Food Group for a Thanksgiving meal and hundreds of dollars in prizes from downtown Bowling Green businesses.

Butler says ducks can be purchased for $10, plus fees, with a maximum purchase of 10 ducks per person. One duck equals one entry to win prizes.

Ducks can be purchased on Eventbrite through Saturday, Nov. 22.
