Warren County Health Department cuts ribbon on new building
WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – A long-loved department officially cut the ribbon on their new Bowling Green building on Tuesday.
The Warren County Health Department celebrated the opening of its brand new facility with excitement from both current and retired staff. The old building, built in the 1950s, was long overdue for replacement.
“We’re one of the larger health departments in the state. And so just having the the the waiting room large enough for the for the children and the parents and the guardians, bringing the children in, that was necessary before we had a very small waiting room. We’re limited on clinic space. And so now we have ten clinic exam rooms. And so we’re able to serve a lot more people now,” said Matthew Hunt, district director for the Barren River District Health Department.
About a third of the previous building was unused, now the building uses every single floor to serve the people of Warren County the best they can.
