Todd County man arrested after allegedly driving into opposite lane

GUTHRIE, Ky. – A wanted Todd County man is facing multiple charges after allegedly swerving into the opposite lane of travel.
According to a uniform citation, the Guthrie Police Department observed a vehicle traveling on Russellville Road in Guthrie on Wednesday just after 10:20 p.m. Authorities say they observed the vehicle swerve into the opposite lane.
Police say during a traffic stop, they confirmed 29-year-old Gaylord Crockett III of Guthrie had a warrant out of Kentucky.
Authorities say they detected the odor of marijuana and began field sobriety testing.
Crockett stated there was marijuana in the vehicle and that he had smoked a couple of hours ago, according to the citation.
Crockett was arrested.
During a vehicle search, officers say they found about 20 grams of marijuana. Todd Count Dispatch confirmed Crockett’s drivers license was revoked indefinitely, authorities say.
Crockett remains at the Todd County Jail on charges of possession of marijuana, improperly on left side of road, operating on a suspended or revoked operators license, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, first offense, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a substance, first offense.
