Suspected drug use in front of a teen leads to drug trafficking, firearm arrests in Smiths Grove

SMITHS GROVE, Ky. – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of drug use with a 15-year-old juvenile present at a Smiths Grove home just before Noon on Wednesday.

Sheriff Brett Hightower says deputies, along with DCBS, executed a search warrant at a home on Will Bohannon Road.

Hightower says deputies located 5.5 pounds of suspected marijuana, suspected methamphetamine, firearms, and drug paraphernalia.

Tresea Inman, 50, and Matthew Watt, 45, both of Smiths Grove, were arrested. They were both lodged at the Warren County Regional Jail.

Inman is charged with possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine), trafficking in marijuana ( 8 oz to < 5 lbs.) 1st offense, and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

Watt is charged with possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine), trafficking in marijuana ( 8 oz to < 5 lbs.) 1st offense, and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess.

Hightower says the Smiths Grove Police Department and the Warren County Drug Task Force assisted in the execution of the warrant.

The investigation is ongoing.
