Police attempt to serve arrest warrant, locate suspected drugs in RV
MORGANTOWN, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is investigating two individuals on drug charges.
Trooper Allen Shirley says KSP troopers and the Butler County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Caney Fork Road on Tuesday. The agencies were attempting to serve an arrest warrant.
According to a release, law enforcement contacted multiple people in an RV on the property.
Officers say they detected a smell of marijuana coming from inside.
Shirley says officers searched the RV and located suspected fentanyl, multiple scales, and currency.
Jacob Adams, 23, of Russellville, and Monica Morgan, 44, of Fredonia, were arrested and lodged at the Butler County Jail.
Each is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (fentanyl), 1st offense, drug paraphernalia buy/possess, and tampering with physical evidence.
The investigation is ongoing.
