Traffic to be impacted due to Scottsville crosswalk project

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Drivers in Allen County should be aware of an upcoming road closure.
According to the Scottsville Police Department, South Court Street from the Scottsville Square to Maple Street will be closed starting Wednesday, Oct. 15.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3 says Gallatin Road will also be closed between Maple Street and the downtown square.
This is to allow for installation of raised crosswalks, police say. The road will reopen later this week.
Closures are expected to begin around 9 a.m. Wednesday.
In addition, a homecoming parade will take place Thursday, Oct. 16 at 5:30 p.m. leaving from Jacks Shopping Center. Due to the road closure, the parade will continue straight through the square down West Main Street onto Highway 980.
The roadway is expected to reopen the afternoon of Saturday, Oct. 18.
