Bowling Green man arrested on drug charges in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing drug possession charges in Glasgow.

Glasgow Police Department Public Information Officer Major Terry Flatt says officers responded to Water Plant Road to a complaint of a suspicious man on Monday.

Officers located John Turner, 34, of Bowling Green, sitting in a grassy area near the road.

Turner was searched, and officers say he possessed a glass pipe and suspected methamphetamine. He allegedly told officers he smoked methamphetamine three hours before he was located.

Turner was arrested and is charged with public intoxication, controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (methamphetamine).

Turner was lodged at the Barren County Detention Center.
