Trick-or-treating guide for south-central Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – October is in full swing, and south-central Kentucky has no shortage of planned events.

Below you will find News 40’s guide to all things trick-or-treating and trunk-or-treating, with events taking place throughout the month.

Allen County

  • Victory Hill Church Halloween on the Hill: Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Victory Hill at 9593 Veterans Memorial Highway in Scottsville. Indoor candy maze, free entry. More here.
  • Lights, Sirens and Treats: Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat Event with First Responders: Friday, Oct. 31 from 4 to 6 p.m. at 192 W. Wood St. in Scottsville. A map is available here.

Barren County

  • Glasgow Parks and Recreation Halloween Fest: Saturday, Oct. 25 from noon to 4 p.m. for a cruise-in, 4:30 to 7 p.m. for a trunk-or-treat, a costume contest at 7 p.m. and a movie showing at 7:30 p.m., all at 309 S. Liberty St. in Glasgow.
  • City of Glasgow Trick-or-Treating: Friday, Oct. 31 from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

Butler County

  • Trunk-or-Treat at the Mayor’s Monster Mash: Saturday, Oct. 25 2 to 6 p.m. at Charles Black City Park. Want to sign up to participate? Click here.

Edmonson County

  • Halloween Trick-or-Treat: Friday, Oct. 31 at the Edmonson County Art Guild at 302 N. Main St. in Brownsville. More here.

Hart County

  • Hart County Veteran’s Committee Second Annual Trunk-or-Treat: Saturday, Oct. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. at 3324 S. Dixie Highway in Horse Cave.
  • Trick or Treat hosted by Munfordville Tourism and the Hart County Chamber of Commerce: Saturday, Oct. 25 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Munfordville Square. To register as a vendor, click here.

Logan County

  • Russellville Independent Schools Fall Block Party: Saturday, Oct. 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Rhea Stadium parking lot. Hayrides, trunk-or-treat, bounce houses, yard games, music, hot dogs, and a fall photo booth. For all grade levels. More here.
  • Downtown Russellville Merchants Boo Bash: Thursday, Oct. 23 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Treats at participating businesses, shopping and more.
  • Walnut Grove Baptist Church Family Fall Festival: Sunday, Oct. 26 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Walnut Grove Parkside Campus  at 145 Parkside Way in Russellville. Emergency vehicles, a trunk-or-treat and more. More here.
  • Agriculture Trunk-or-Treat: Tuesday, Oct. 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. Free candy, games, and fun for the family, hosted by Logan Co. Jr. Conservation Board the 253 Hopkinsville Road in Russellville.

Simpson County

  • Franklin Police Department Trunk-or-Treat: Friday, Oct. 24 from 5 to 8 p.m. at 501 W. Madison St. in Franklin. Costume contest begins at 6:30 p.m.

Warren County

  • Cultivate Behavioral Health and Education Sensory-Friendly Trunk-or-Treat: Friday, Oct. 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. at 165 Natchez Trace in Bowling Green. More here.
  • Guarantee Pest Control Disney Trunk or Treat: Saturday, Oct. 18 from 3 to 6 p.m. at SOKY Fairgrounds.
  • Halloween at the Ballpark: Tuesday, Oct. 21 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bowling Green Ballpark. Trick-or-treating, costume contest and more.
  • Boos and Brews Family Night: Friday, Oct. 24 at the Capitol theatre in downtown Bowling Green. A night of fun, treats and two family-favorite Halloween movies on the big screen. Trick-or-treating inside the Capitol starts at 5:30 p.m. More here.
  • Bowling Green Police Department Trunk or Treat: Friday, Oct. 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 911 Kentucky St. Free event to the community.
  • Trunk-or-Treat at The Buddy House: Saturday, Oct. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m., hosted by Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky.
  • “Pumpkin Alley” Trick-or-Treating: A popular spot every year for trick-or-treaters in the Briarwood neighborhood.
