GLASGOW, Ky. – An economic expansion is on its way to Barren County.

On Thursday, Bluegrass Ingredients, a supplier of flavors and formula solutions to the food and beverage industry, announced the expansion of its warehouse facilities in Glasgow, according to a release by the Barren County Economic Authority.

According to the release, the project is an investment that aims to improve order fulfillments, strengthen inventory management and deliver an even better level of service to customers all over the world.

“This project is an investment in our business as well as in the State of Kentucky.” Hoyt Huffman, CEO of Bluegrass Ingredients said. “Working with the Barren County Economic Authority to bring this expansion to life is a true example of Kentucky business partnership at its best.”

The company will be the first industry tenant in the new South Cooper Industrial Park, the release says, and it will be housed in a 100,000-square-foot building at 101 Beltine Boulevard.

“We are proud to support Bluegrass Ingredients as they grow in Glasgow,” said City of Glasgow mayor Henry Royse. “When a homegrown employer chooses to expand here, it says something powerful about our people, our workforce, and our future.”

“This isn’t just an expansion—it’s a promise to our residents that opportunity is on the rise,” said County judge executive Jamie Bewley Byrd. “Thanks to Bluegrass Ingredients for helping build a stronger, more sustainable community.”

“We are excited to partner with Bluegrass Ingredients as they expand their footprint in Glasgow and Barren County,” said Maureen Carpenter, president and CEO of the Barren County Economic Authority. “This expansion is a testament to our area’s competitive business climate, skilled workforce, and strategic location.”
