Atmos Energy to complete pipe project on Louisville Road
BOWLNG GREEN, Ky. – Atmos Energy is sharing the latest on an upcoming project in Bowling Green.
According to a release Wednesday, Atmos Energy will be completing a project to replace over 2,300 feet of bare steel pipe along Louisville Road from River Street to Hardy and Son Funeral Home.
“Atmos Energy is committed to the safety. It is our number one priority,” said Mike Close, Bowling Green’s operations manager, adding “We are continuing to replace pipe in different areas of Bowling Green, and we will begin on Oct. 1.”
The release states there will be 12 service mains replaced as well, with a total project cost of $95,000.
The project is expected to be completed in late December.
While road closures are not confirmed at this time, Atmos says it will be working with local officials if this becomes necessary.
