Chick-fil-A set to open in Glasgow, led by former teen employee turned owner

GLASGOW, Ky.- Opening day for the Chick-fil-A in Glasgow is right around the corner, and for owner-operator Sarah Jane Cobb, it’s a full-circle moment.

Cobb began her journey with the company at just 15 years old, working part-time in a Chick-fil-A restaurant. After college, she pursued a career in journalism before returning to the brand that had helped shape her early work experience.

“Whenever I think about the little 15-year-old that was working in the restaurant, now I consider their career and what it’s going to look like,” Cobb shared.

Though the road to becoming an owner and operator was challenging, Cobb says choosing Glasgow as the home for her business was an easy decision.

“My favorite thing about Glasgow so far is that people feel a sense of ownership over this restaurant,” she said. Community involvement has been at the heart of the new location’s development. Cobb noted that many locals proudly share how they’ve played a role in bringing Chick-fil-A to town—whether by writing letters or helping with construction. “Everyone I talk to says they had a hand in it, from laying the foundation to doing the plumbing,” she added.

As the doors prepare to open, it’s clear that this Glasgow Chick-fil-A is more than just a restaurant—it’s a community effort years in the making.

Sarah Jane Cobb’s main priority is the safety of the customers, and she encourages customers to download the app to speed up the process.
