Advanced robotic knee replacement available at T.J. Regional Health

GLASGOW, Ky. – A local healthcare facility now offers advanced robotic knee replacement.

According to a release, T.J. Regional Health has invested in a ROSA® Knee, a robotically assisted surgical system.

The system is designed to perform total knee replacement surgery.

T.J. says computer and software technology give surgeons more control and precision.

The system and the surgeons’ skills combine to position the implant more precisely, resulting in faster recovery times and improved range of motion, according to the release.

Dr. Vivek Neginhal, with T.J. Regional Health, is an experienced robotic surgeon and is trained in the technology.

“It is incredibly fulfilling to see patients who once came into my office barely able to walk, later leave with a renewed sense of mobility and hope,” Dr. Neginhal said.

“We are extremely proud to be the first hospital in south central Kentucky to offer this tremendous technology for our patients. It is an investment in our community that will help many people to start living fully again,” said CEO Neil Thornbury stated
