Barren County Schools names Tyler Richardson principal of College Street Campus

GLASGOW, Ky. – Barren County Schools has named Tyler Richardson as principal of College Street Campus.
College Street Campus serves as the district’s alternative school for students in grades six through 12 through personalized pathways, intensive supports and flexible scheduling, according to the district.
Richardson brings a decade of experience as a teacher and school leader across south-central Kentucky. He most recently served as director of student services for Caverna Independent Schools, where he coordinated attendance, transportation, safety and district-wide emergency management. Prior to that role, he was principal of Caverna Elementary School (2020-2023) and a teacher at Barren County Middle School (2013-2014, 2018-2020), where he also coached baseball.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in middle grades education from Brescia University and his master of science from the University of the Cumberlands, where he also obtained his credentials as a principal and director of pupil personnel.
“College Street Campus is a cornerstone of our commitment to student success, meeting every learner where they are and removing barriers so they can thrive,” superintendent Amy Irwin said. “Mr. Richardson’s student-centered leadership and hands-on experience in student services position him to do great work at CSC.”
“I’m honored to return to Barren County and serve the students and families of College Street Campus,” Richardson said. “Our team will focus on high expectations, meaningful relationships, and clear pathways so every student leaves CSC confident, capable, and ready for what’s next.”
