Motorcyclist killed in fatal Russell County crash
RUSSELL COUNTY, Ky. – Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal crash in Russell County.
KSP Public Affairs Officer Trooper Jonathan Houk says Troopers responded to a two-vehicle collision on KY 379 on Friday at approximately 8:45 pm.
KSP’s preliminary investigation shows William Miller, 55, of Russell Springs, was driving a motorcycle north on KY 379 when it stopped for an unknown reason. A vehicle operated by Daniel Turner, 33, of Magonlia, was also driving north on KY 379.
KSP says Turner’s vehicle struck the rear of Miller’s motorcycle due to vehicular and environmental conditions.
Miller was transported to Russell County Hospital for injury treatment. He later died at the hospital.
Turner did not sustain injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
