Man charged with attempted arson in Todd County

ELKTON, Ky. (WEKT) – An Elkton man is charged with attempted arson.
According to WEKT, a male subject threatened to burn down a home on West Jefferson Street Monday afternoon.

Police say they were called to the scene when 53-year-old Michael Bailey was found walking with a plastic jug of gasoline and a lighter about 500 feet from the home.
Bailey was reportedly hostile toward authorities before he was taken into custody. He faces charged of second-degree arson and second-degree disorderly conduct.
Bailey remains at the Todd County Jail on a $5,000 cash bond.
Todd County sheriff’s deputies assisted Elkton Police with the investigation.
