Shooting suspects apprehended in Breathitt County

JACKSON, Ky. – Two men have been arrested on attempted murder charges following a shooting in Breathitt County.
According to the Kentucky State Police, troopers received a 911 call around 8:26 p.m. Thursday reporting a shooting on Kentucky 30 in the Jackson community of Breathitt County.
Upon arrival, troopers and emergency medical personnel learned a female victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Troopers say life-saving measures immediately began at the scene. The victim was transported by EMS to an area landing zone and flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Authorities say she is currently listed in stable condition.
According authorities, KSP detectives at the scene learned an unidentified male had approached the home and opened fire, striking the victim several times. Troopers say the alleged shooters were identified as 24-year-old Christopher Roberts of Booneville and 21-year-old Travis Watson of Beattyville.
Both suspects were apprehended and transported to the Kentucky River Regional Jail. Roberts and Watson are charged with attempted murder.
The investigation is ongoing.
