Bowling Green man charged in theft case

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is charged in a reported theft case.

According to the Bowling Green Police Department, 20-year-old Austin James Ross was charged Wednesday with theft by unlawful taking, greater than $1,000.

Police say Ross is accused in the theft of a computer and multiple other items from his workplace. Authorities say the value of the items exceeds $2,300.

Authorities say Ross removed a computer from the stock area, concealing it in his backpack.

During his arrest, police say they found Ross had additional items belonging to the store.

Ross was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
