Russellville man charged after report of stolen barn wood

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. (WEKT) – A Russellville man is charged with burglary in connection with stolen barn wood.
According to WEKT, the barn wood was taken from a barn on Short Cut Road in Todd County on July 13.

The Todd County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were able to identify the suspect in 43-year-old Patrick Crafton using security cameras and the public’s assistance.
Authorities say Crafton was visible on camera surveillance on July 13 looking for homes to rent. Crafton reportedly later returned and took barn wood from the barn, leaving some of the equipment inside exposed to weather elements.
Crafton was later located in Logan County and arrested on charges of left by unlawful taking, third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief and a DUI-suspended license.
The damage caused is estimated to be over $1,000.
