Man facing charges allegedly ignites fireworks in Glasgow home

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow man allegedly set fireworks off inside a home following an argument.

Glasgow Police Department major Terry Flatt says officers responded to a fire at a residence on Village Circle on Friday. The Glasgow Fire Department says while responding, dispatch confirmed fireworks had been shot through a window, and heavy smoke was coming from the basement.

Flatt says the investigation shows that Shawn Green, Jr., 19, was in a verbal argument when he set off fireworks inside the home.

Green, Jr. allegedly set the fireworks off on a bed, causing a fire.

Fire officials confirm no injuries were reported.

Flatt says Green exited the home and was later located by Kentucky State Police.

Green was taken into custody and transported to the Barren County Detention Center.
