Glasgow police arrest man following short vehicle pursuit

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow man allegedly fled police while under the influence.

Glasgow Police Department Major Terry Flatt says officers conducted a traffic stop on Simmons Street on Wednesday following a brief vehicle pursuit on East Main Street.

Flatt says officers identified the driver as Miguel A. Jose Pascual. Officers say Pascual was under the influence following a field sobriety test.

Pascual was taken into custody and transported to the Barren County Detention Center.

Pascual is charged with reckless driving, fleeing or evading police 1st degree (motor vehicle), operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol 2nd offense (agg cir), and possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle prohibited.
