Metcalfe County man allegedly shoots Louisville man during altercation

EDMONTON, Ky. – Kentucky State Police is investigating the shooting of a Louisville man.

KSP Post 15 says the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office contacted it to join in response to a reported shots fired at a residence on Summer Shade Road in Metcalfe on Thursday afternoon.

Troopers arrived and learned that a man who had been shot with a gun had been transported to the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville.

Troopers went to the hospital and spoke to the victim, Nicholas Marzette, 33, of Louisville.

During the investigation, Marzette told troopers he was in an altercation with Noah Neal, 27, of Willow Shade, inside the residence.

Neal allegedly fired shots at Marzette, striking him twice. Marzette’s injuries are non-life-threatening.

Troopers arrested Neal on charges of assault 1st degree and discharge of a firearm across a public road.

Neal is lodged at the Adair County Regional Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
