1 in custody, 1 injured following stabbing in Leitchfield

LEITCHFIELD, Ky. – One person has been hospitalized and another is in custody following a late night stabbing in Leitchfield.
According to WNKY News 40 media partner K105, the Leitchfield Police Department, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office and EMS were dispatched Tuesday at 11:40 p.m. for a report of a female being stabbed on Wilson Drive in Leitchfield.

Upon arrival, Leitchfield police say they found a woman that had suffered multiple stab wounds.
The victim was transported by EMS to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center.
The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Nathaniel M. Hardin of Leitchfield, had superficial wounds and was transported by Leitchfield police to the emergency room before being taken to police headquarters for an interview.
Following an interview, Hardin was transported to the Grayson County Detention Center, where he’s been charged with first-degree assault (domestic violence).
Leitchfield police executed a search warrant beginning near 4:50 a.m. Wednesday.
