Habitat for Humanity rolls out new truck to better serve Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, KY – A new set of wheels rolled into Bowling Green on Monday morning, and it’s already making an impact.
Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore would unveil a brand-new box truck today, thanks to the American Red Cross. The truck will help the team transport large donations, support disaster relief efforts, and respond more quickly when emergencies hit.
It could not have come at a better time either, as the old truck cost roughly $12,000 in repairs, which makes this new one a breath of fresh air for the team.
“It’s just a top-of-the-line truck,” said Matt Sheffield, Chief Development Officer for Bowling Green’s Habitat for Humanity. “It’s physically bigger, brand new from the inside out, and it’s going to help our team perform this job safely and efficiently: whether that’s picking up large donations or responding after a disaster.”
