Guthrie man identified as person killed in Clarksville stabbing

CLARKSVILLE, Ky. – A Guthrie man is dead after an alleged stabbing incident.
The Clarksville Police Department says it received a call about an assault at 9:39 am on Tuesday.
CPD says the incident happened at a construction site on Old Russellville Pike. Two workers were allegedly in an argument that resulted in one of the workers being stabbed.
The victim was transported to Tennova Healthcare, where he later succumbed to injuries.
CPD homicide detectives and the crime scene unit responded to the scene to investigate.
Officers say the suspect, Cristian Noe Moreno-Hernandez, of Springfield, Tennessee, remained at the construction site. Moreno-Hernandez was taken into custody without incident.
On Thursday, the victim was identified as Ivan Villa Contreras, 27, of Guthrie.
Moreno-Hernandez is charged with criminal homicide and is lodged at the Montgomery County Jail without bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
