1 transported following collision in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – One person has been transported for injuries following a collision in Barren County.
The Glasgow Police Department says it responded Saturday to Woodlawn Avenue regarding a vehicle collision.
Following an investigation, police say they learned a vehicle driven by Eric Turner of Glasgow was traveling westbound on Woodlawn Street. Police say the vehicle traveled across an oncoming lane and off of the left side of the road before hitting a mailbox and parked vehicle.
The vehicle came to a stop on its side, police say.
Turner was transported by the Barren/Metcalfe EMS to T.J. Samson Community Hospital and transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for his injuries.
The Glasgow Police Department was also assisted by the Glasgow Fire Department.
