Barren County community outdoor warning sirens to be tested

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Barren County residents should be prepared over the next few weeks as community outdoor warning sirens are tested.
According to Glasgow/Barren County Emergency Management, the sirens will be activated with a variety of tones, which could last for some time. This includes testing on April 23, with maintenance concluding at 6 p.m.
Officials say this is to ensure sites are operational in “every mode capable.” General preventative maintenance will also be done during this time, according to emergency management.
Officials say no work will be done on days that the area is expecting any form of weather.
