Glasgow woman allegedly drives intoxicated, faces drug possession charges

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow woman allegedly drove in opposite lanes of travel leading to an arrest for drug possession.

Glasgow Police Officer Public Information Officer Major Terry Flatt says an officer responded to a report of a vehicle traveling in the opposite lane on Saturday.

The officer says the vehicle was at the Dollar General Store on Burkesville Road.

The officer says Earline Ostertag, 70, of Glasgow, was given a field sobriety test. Ostertag allegedly failed the sobriety test.

A search of the vehicle was conducted. A metal container containing suspected Oxycodone was discovered.

Ostertag was arrested and transported to the Barren County Detention Center.

Ostertag is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, 2nd offense, possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (drug unspecified).

Ostertag was released on Saturday.
