Center for Courageous Kids hosts Mission Minded Luncheon
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – In a world where children with certain illnesses are often told they cannot, the Center for Courageous Kids is breaking barriers and building hope.
At their annual Mission Minded Leadership Luncheon, CCK brought the south-central Kentucky community together to pour into the leaders who dedicate themselves to serving others. The event aimed to help leaders live well, love well, and lead well—empowering them to give even more to their communities.
Guest speaker, April Nicole Scipio, emphasized the importance of self-care, reminding attendees that “pouring from an empty cup never ends well.” She encouraged every individual, regardless of background, to recognize their power to make a difference. This message of inclusivity and purpose resonated deeply with the crowd.
Beyond the luncheon, the impact ripples outward, reaching the children and families who rely on CCK’s programs year-round.
Brian Roy, CCK’s vice president of development, shared how support from community leaders helps create lifelong friendships and transformative camp experiences.
The luncheon was not just a gathering—it was a reminder of what’s possible when a community unites for a cause. At CCK, every act of leadership helps a child believe they can.
