Family Enrichment Center hosts Fore! Our Kids Golf Scramble

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Fighting child abuse is a fight that happens year long, but for the second time in April, the Family Enrichment Center raised money in a fun way and brought awareness to Child Abuse Prevention Month.

For the second year, the Family Enrichment Center hosted the Fore! Our Kids Golf Scramble at the Bowling Green County Club. Eighty-seven golfers came out to support local children and try their hand at claiming the number one spot.

A representative with the Family Enrichment Center says this money plays an important role not only in protecting our kids but also helping parents better understand childhood development.

“Everything is going back to a child abuse prevention programing right here in south central Kentucky and specifically our Early Learning Parents Teachers program. That provides in-home education one on one with parents, so that they better understand their child’s development and can be the best parent that they can be” said Katie Dykes, the Family Enrichment Centers director of development.

The Family Enrichment Center is already working on next year’s golf scramble. If you would like to find out how you can continue to help the fight against child abuse, you can click here.
