Traffic stop leads to drug charges for Glasgow woman

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow woman is charged with drug possession.

Glasgow Police Department Public Information Officer Major Terry Flatt says an officer conducted a traffic stop on Myrtle Street on Tuesday. The vehicle’s rear license plate was not illuminated.

Flatt says Rita Webb, 62, of Glasgow, consented to a vehicle search. The arresting officer says a plastic baggie containing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was located inside Webb’s purse.

Webb was arrested and lodged at the Barren County Detention Center.

Webb is charged with a rear license plate not illuminated, possession of a controlled substance 1st-degree 2nd offense (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
