Elliott County man allegedly loaded sexually explicit images of juveniles to social media account

MOREHEAD, Ky. – Kentucky State Police is investigating a man on child sexual abuse charges.

KSP says its Electronic Crime Branch interviewed and arrested Andrew Demmon, 25, on charges related to child sexual abuse material possession. The charges were made in an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation.

The KSP Electronic Crime Branch says Demmon uploaded sexually explicit images of juveniles to one of his social media accounts.

KSP obtained a search warrant for Demmon’s home in Morehead on April 8. KSP seized the equipment believed to be used to commit the alleged crimes.

The investigation is ongoing.

Demmon is charged with 20 counts of possessing matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance and one count of distributing matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance.

Demmon was lodged at the Rowan County Detention Center.
