Teresa Bewley receives statewide coaching award

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One local woman is being recognized for her impact on Kentucky school sports.

On Wednesday night during halftime of the region 4 game at the KHsAA tournament, Teresa Bewley was presented with the Kentucky High School Coaches Association Brigid DeVries Outstanding Leadership Award.

Officials say this award is given to those that have who have excelled in their field and made a lasting impact on their communities and high school sports.

The award is named after Barren County’s first female commissioner, according to officials.
