2 arrested after stolen vehicle leads pursuit starting in Adairville

ADAIRVILLE, Ky. – A Clarksville man is behind bars after a high-speed chase last from Adairville into Tennessee.
According to the News-Democrat and Leader, Adairville police observed a blue BMW matching the description of a reported stolen vehicle out of Clarksville, Tennessee. Police saw three people near the vehicle on the Adairville Square around 9:23 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23.
When police tried to speak to Evan G. Neely of Clarksville, he fled in the vehicle, nearly hitting the other individuals nearby.

A police pursuit ensued around the Adairville Square and reached U.S. 431 South.
The high-speed chase reached speeds over 134 miles per hour as it entered Tennessee.
Logan County Sheriff’s Office deputies found a bag of evidence that Neely threw near Smith Grove Road.
The vehicle was later disabled by law enforcement, and Neely ran from the scene.
The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Neely, who appeared to be under the influence and was found to possess drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine.
Deputies also arrested Taylor M. Banaszek of Jacksonville, Florida in Adairville, who possessed stolen credit cards and appeared to be under the influence of methamphetamine, authorities say.
A third individual was released.
Neely was transported to the Robertson County Jail. He faces charges in Tennessee, including theft of stolen property, resisting arrest, reckless driving and driving on a revoked or suspended license.
Neely will be extradited to Kentucky on felony charges. Banaszek was lodged in the Logan County Detention Center.
