Former juvenile correctional officer charged with criminal abuse

PADUCAH, Ky. – A former juvenile justice correctional officer is charged with criminal abuse.
Kentucky State Police says the Department of Juvenile Justice requested an investigation of former correctional officer Tyler G. Lynn, 30, of Paducah. Lynn is a former employee of the McCracken Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
KSP says it received two incident reports at the detention center involving Lynn and two male juveniles on October 15, 2024. The preliminary investigation shows Lynn used excessive force that resulted in the two male juveniles suffering arm fractures.
Lynn is charged with two counts of criminal Abuse, 2nd degree.
The investigation was presented to a grand jury, resulting in an indictment on February 28. Lynn was arrested on March 6 and lodged at the McCracken County Jail.
