Help stock local food banks in honor of Danny Carothers

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Multiple organizations are joining together to help gather food supplies in honor of a beloved Bowling Green community member.
Carothers was known to many throughout Bowling Green and Warren County as a coach, volunteer and a friend, among many other titles.
Now, United Way of Southern Kentucky, The Foundry, Graves Gilbert Clinic and German American Bank are hosting a food drive giveaway from now until March 27.
All donations can be brought to The Foundry. You can bring canned meat, any non-perishables and more.
The full list includes the following:
- Canned meat and protein, including peanut butter, fish, chicken, ham, stew, beans and more.
- Meals in a box, including ramen noodles, macaroni and cheese, hamburger and pasta helper and more.
- Non-perishable sides: rice, canned veggies, dried pasta, pasta sauces and more.
- Breakfast foods: Pop Tarts, cereal, granola, snack bars, oats and other options.
- Grab and go snacks: crackers, beef jerky, fruit cups, single-serving meals and more.
