Man allegedly steals tractor from former employer

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A man allegedly stole a tractor without a trailer on Thursday.
Kentucky State Police says it received information from a Bowling Green business that a former employee allegedly stole a purple Cascadia Freightliner with no trailer. The business owners say the man made an extra key and took the truck.
The owners provided the location of the truck to troopers. It was traveling southbound on Interstate 65.
A trooper observed the stolen truck at the 31-mile marker and conducted a traffic stop near the 30-mile marker.
The trooper identified the suspect as Dedric Heard, 32, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Heard was taken into custody and is charged with receiving stolen property valued at $10,000 or more.
Heard is lodged at the Warren County Regional Jail.
