State of emergency declared in Simpson County
SIMPSON COUNTY, Ky. – A state of emergency has been declared in Simpson County.
According to an executive order, Simpson County judge-executive Mason Barnes declared the state of emergency in response to the recent severe weather event that occurred.
The order states multiple state and county roads have flooded, along with properties.
Simpson County emergency responders will be directed to assist as needed from available local resources, according to the order. Simpson County Emergency Management will coordinate with agencies and local government to assist the City of Franklin and Simpson County.
