Owensboro police working warrant service call on Chickasaw Drive

OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Owensboro Police Department is asking the community to avoid the 3600 block of Chickasaw Drive as it works a warrant service call.

Police say they are assisting the U.S. Marshals at the scene.

The department says as U.S. Marshals were attempting to serve a warrant, a fugitive exited the residence then went back inside and barricaded himself.

Police say they responded to help secure a perimeter. As of 3 p.m., authorities are still asking the public to avoid the area.
