Glasgow man charged rape, sodomy of juvenile

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow man is charged with the rape and sodomy of a juvenile.

The Barren County Sheriff’s Office says it responded to Jimeson Way to investigate a possible sexual assault of a 7-year-old female juvenile.

During an interview with the female juvenile, she told detectives that Mark Hanks, 26 of Glasgow, sexually assaulted her on Jan. 20 and Jan. 21. She said the alleged sexual assault happened during the night.

BCSO says the juvenile identified Hanks as the person who sexually assaulted her.

Hanks is charged with first-degree rape of a victim under the age of 12 and first-degree sodomy of a victim under the age of 12.

Hanks is lodged at the Barren County Detention Center with a $50,000 cash bond.
