Northeastern Kentucky man sentenced for sexual crimes against minors
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Attorney General Russell Coleman announced Friday the Attorney General’s Special Prosecutions Unit will send a child predator from Carter County to prison.
Chester Griffith, 76, of Grayson got a recommended eight-year sentence for crimes against children under the age of 16.
On Thursday, Griffith pled guilty to two felony counts of first-degree sexual abuse, as well as two counts of first-degree criminal attempt to commit sexual abuse for two additional victims under the age of 12.
Griffith is not eligible for probation and will be a lifetime registrant on the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry.
A 10-year Interpersonal Protective Order will also be entered for each of the four victims.
