Vehicle runs into building in Somerset

SOMERSET, Ky. – Fire crews were at the scene of a collision into a building on Friday in Somerset.

The Somerset Fire Department says it was dispatched to the 1200 block of S. Highway 27 for a report of a vehicle versus building collision.

On scene, officials say crews found a customer at the business had accidentally hit the accelerator and hit the building.

The department says crews disconnected power to the damaged part of the building. The City of Somerset building inspector was notified.

The building inspector ruled the building’s integrity was not compromised, officials say.

No injuries were reported.
