Bowling Green man arrested in relation to Louisville Road incident
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One man is facing charges involving an incident Wednesday on Louisville Road in Bowling Green.
According to a uniform citation, Warren County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched Wednesday at 12:45 p.m. to the area of Penns Chapel Road near Little Beaver Creek Road for a disturbance involving two vehicles.
Dispatch stated it was reported the vehicles made contact and were traveling south on Louisville Road, authorities say.
A deputy located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Louisville Road near Interstate Drive.
During the investigation, deputies say they learned Randall Phillips, 45, of Bowling Green was involved in the incident.
Authorities say they learned Phillips possessed a loaded handgun in his vehicle and a half full bottle of whiskey. The citation states an active protection order prohibited Phillips from possessing a firearm.
Phillips was arrested. During this time, deputies say they located a clear bag of a substance consistent with methamphetamine inside of a cigarette pack on Phillips, along with fentanyl.
In addition, deputies say the disturbance involved a 17-year-old female. Authorities say the juvenile stated she had been staying with Phillips for approximately one to two days. She also stated Phillips provided her with alcohol and marijuana during this time, authorities say.
Deputies say the juvenile appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic believed to be methamphetamine, however, she denied taking anything.
Authorities say the juvenile stated she had not slept for three days.
Phillips was transported to the Warren County Regional Jail.
He is charged with unlawful transaction with a minor, illegal controlled substance, under 18 years of age, violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia – buy/possess and possession of an open alcohol beverage container in motor vehicle prohibited.
