Man dies after tree falls on truck

OLIVE HILL, Ky. – Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal collision in Carter County.

KSP Post 14 says it responded to a single-vehicle collision on US 60 near Fleming Ford on January 16 just after 1 pm.

Following an investigation, KSP says Daniel Stone, 38, was traveling east on US 60 when a tree fell onto his truck. Stone was ejected from the truck.

The Carter County Coroner’s Office pronounced Stone deceased at the scene.

Stone was the only occupant of the vehicle.
